Meet Ron
Ron began towing in 1988 in San Diego, CA. He started with jump starts, lockouts and towing small vehicles.Thirty years ago, a small vehicle tow only paid five dollars so Ron decided to train in every aspect of towing—starting with the smaller stuff then moving into the big truck training. Back then all training was free through AAA and Ron recalls often being the only guy in the class. After a short time, he began driving and operating "The Big Trucks" in Heavy Duty Recovery and towing semi-trucks and trailers.
After 15 years of managing two towing companies in San Diego, Ron left the beach and move to the mountains, where he ran a towing company in South Lake Tahoe. A few years later, Ron moved to Jackson Hole, wanting more of a mountain experience and lifestyle.
While on a road trip to Alaska with his wife, Sheila, their van broke down and required a tow. Ron remembers, "I was at a stage in my career where I was considering making a change and then it hit me: I want to create a friendly towing company in Jackson Hole with integrity and professionalism to help locals and tourists."
A lot has happened since starting with 1 truck and a credit card in 2010 to what Ron's Towing is today: The only towing company in Jackson Hole who serves all of the surrounding areas.
Ron oversees the day to day operations, as well as doing what he enjoys most, running calls and helping people.
